A new way to fight Yvonne's robberies
Reports have revealed a "smart plan" from Apple to fight the theft of Yvonne phones, following an old strategy to prevent thefts.
According to Apple News' McRomers website, the company plans to notify Apple stores of stolen phones, which in turn will refuse to buy or repair those phones, putting the robbers in trouble.
Users will be able to put their phone data on the global GSM Divas list that anyone can use to report a missing phone.
If anyone brings in Yvonne's phone for sale, Apple Store Systems and other electronics stores will get an "alert" from this database, informing them that the phone is stolen, which will spare them from dealing with the user immediately.
Apple would then use a "classic" method by car companies, to prevent the theft of the stereo, by making it too complicated, and not easy to install in other cars, which frustrated the thieves.
As well as Apple, it will not prevent the theft of the phone itself, but it will make it almost impossible to resell and trade it, as it will be recorded as a "stolen" device, frustrating the robbers and keeping them out of the "pockets of users."
